Ingredients
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 2 medium apples (like Honeycrisp or Gala), thinly sliced and patted dry
- 2 tbsp. honey
- 2 tbsp. slivered almonds
- ½ tsp. ground cinnamon, plus extra for dusting
- 4 oz. Nancy’s Organic Plain Cream Cheese
- 1 tbsp. maple syrup
- ½ tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- 1 tbsp. Nancy’s Organic Unsalted Butter, for serving
Directions
- Preheat oven to 400°F.
- Drizzle honey in little circles on a baking sheet lined with parchment or baking paper.
- Sprinkle slivered almonds and cinnamon over the honey, lay thinly sliced apples (patted dry) on the honey spots.
- Cut thawed puff pastry into equal rectangles and set aside.
- Beat Nancy’s Organic Plain Cream Cheese with maple syrup and vanilla.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture over the pastry (leave 1/4 inch border of puff pastry) and lay flat over fruit piles on the baking sheet.
- Brush the top of each pastry with egg wash.
- Bake at 400°F for 15-20 mins. Flip over with a spatula when done & serve warm with Nancy’s Organic Unsalted Butter and a light dust of cinnamon, if desired.
